Yanked again: Showtime taken off of TWC as cable giant and CBS fail to reach new deal

CBS is out this afternoon with a press release saying they authorized Time Warner Cable to keep Showtime in its lineup during continued retransmission negotiations, but nonetheless, the network is now off for TWC's customers nationwide, including right here in the Tri-State.

It's the second time in a week that the network (along with Flix, TMC and Smithsonian) has been removed as the two sides have been haggling over a new contract.

There's no word on if negotiations are still ongoing at this hour ... stay tuned ...
