Cannelton's WTCJ-FM is now WCJZ

Listeners of The Cromwell Group's Cannelton, Ind. classic rock station, CJ105.7, may have noticed that the station now has a new call sign: WCJZ.

Formerly known as WTCJ-FM, the station, which went on the air 13 years ago, is a sister to the original WTCJ (1230 AM) in Tell City. Cromwell is trying to move in an FM translator from the Central City, Ky. area — although it's yet to be approved — and presumably, the change for CJ105.7 was made to avoid possible confusion with 1230's translator if/when that approval does come.

A little history: The WCJZ call letters were formerly used on what is now a news/talk station in Charlottesville, Va. (now WCHV-107.5 FM).
