WKDZ nominated for Marconi Award

Delilah, Steve Harvey and Tom Joyner among nominees for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year

The National Association of Broadcasters announced today the finalists for the 2013 NAB Marconi Radio Awards honoring radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting.

Among this year's nominees is Cadiz, Ky. station WKDZ (106.5 FM), which has been nominated in the Small Market Station of the Year category. The station has been nominated for the Marconi four times previously. (WKDZ can be heard in the southwestern part of the Tri-State.)

Other well-known nominees are Delilah, Steve Harvey and Tom Joyner, who are all in the hunt for this year's Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year award. Delilah's show can be heard on WIKY (104.1 FM, Evansville); Harvey is seen on both Family Feud and his eponymous TV talk show seen on Local 7 CW WTVW; and Joyner's self-titled program is carried by WEOA (1400 AM/98.5 FM, Evansville).

The winners will be announced on September 19 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show, held during the 2013 Radio Show in Orlando, Fla.
