Townsquare Media Group, which owns and operates seven radio stations in the Tri-State (see list below) announced on Wednesday the addition of several new and exclusive partnerships to its powerful and growing portfolio of music and entertainment-focused digital properties.
The new properties will join Townsquare Media Group’s national digital business, consisting of premium music and entertainment websites reaching over 50 million US monthly unique visitors. The highly influential publishers include Consequence of Sound, Dangerous Minds, Potholes in My Blog, Pretty Much Amazing, Tiny Mix Tapes and Wetpaint.
These partners have been gaining notoriety over the past year including The New Yorker calling Pretty Much Amazing “the foremost voice in Indie music and all-around music nerdery,” Mashable naming Richard Metzger, editor of music and pop culture site Dangerous Minds, one of the “Top 10 Most Influential People” on Facebook (#4), and entertainment powerhouse Wetpaint launching its patent pending Social Publishing Platform that systematically builds loyal audiences.
“Townsquare Media continues to be a magnet for premium publishers in the highly-valuable music and entertainment category,” commented SVP/General Manager Townsquare Media, Rick Vorhaus. “We are excited to add these authoritative brands such as Consequence of Sound and Wetpaint and further the rapid growth of our influential portfolio and our audience of over 50 Million activators.”
“We are excited to partner with Townsquare Media to expand Wetpaint’s advertising capabilities,” remarked Ben Elowitz, CEO Wetpaint, Inc. “The combination of Wetpaint Entertainment, with one of the fastest growing female audiences on the web, and Townsquare Media, with its deep sales and marketing expertise, will enable us to connect our highly social audience with a portfolio of great brands.”
Building on the momentum of its owned and operated sites and following its recent acquisition of AOL assets The Boot, The BoomBox, NoiseCreep and ComicsAlliance, these latest partners further solidify Townsquare Media as an authority in the music and entertainment space.
