UPDATE, 1:15 p.m. TUESDAY: Information in the story below has been corrected. Many thanks to Rick Daniels for the update.

Q102 (WQXQ, 101.9 FM, Central City) announced Monday evening that the new host of the station's All Nite Interactive Show host is Owensboro's own Jenny Beth Willis.

Willis, a 17-year-old student at Owensboro Catholic High School, placed in the Top 20 last year on Fox's American Idol.

"We chose Jenny because of her huge presence on the Western Kentucky music scene, and she is a delight to interview," said Q102 program director Rick Daniels. "We saw her talents on air when Brian Jackson interviewed her in June, and since have been negotiating a show with her that starts soon."

Willis replaces Taunya Iverson, who is now hosting middays on the station.
