McLeansboro Radio Pioneer Eddie Allen Dies
Former morning host and sports broadcaster Eddie Allen has died.  He passed away Tuesday at the age of 80. During the 1980′s, Allen was the radio voice of McLeansboro Foxes Basketball on WMIX radio in Mt. Vernon. In 2000, he started his morning radio program “The Cuzin Eddie Show” on WMCL in McLeansboro. Over the course of 10 years, some of Allen’s guests included Kitty Wells, Eddie Rabbit and Billy Grammar. [WRUL/WROY News]
