Communications outage hits NOAA Weather Radio, radars in Paducah's coverage area

The National Weather Service office in Paducah has issued the following statement regarding a communications outage that is affecting its services in our area:
A TELCO OUTAGE BEGAN AROUND 2:15 AM THIS MORNING. THIS HAS RESULTED IN NOAA WEATHER RADIO TRANSMITTER OUTAGES EXCEPT FOR THOSE IN KENTUCKY THAT UTILIZE THE KEWS NETWORK. KVWX OWENSVILLE INDIANA AND KHPX FORT CAMPBELL KENTUCKY WSR-88D (radar) DATA ARE NOT AVAILABLE. OFFICE TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION IS NOT AVAILABLE AS WELL. RESTORATION TIME IS UNKNOWN. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.
