BRIEF: CBS networks back on Time Warner Cable ... for now

UPDATE, 12:35 p.m.: As a reminder, the dispute between CBS Corp. and TWC does NOT affect local CBS affiliate stations like WEVV, WTHI-TV, KFVS12, WLKY, KMOV, WNKY-CBS or WTVF. These stations are owned by other companies that are not part of CBS Corp. itself.

After briefly taking Showtime, TMC, Flix and Smithsonian off their systems at 11 p.m. CT last night, Time Warner Cable put them back on early this morning.

The cable company and CBS Corporation have agreed to keep talking in hopes that they can reach a new deal before their latest deadline, which is Friday, Aug. 2 at 4 p.m. CT.
