Ohio Valley Emmy nominees announced

Byrd, Moore and Cissell of Eyewitness News are only Evansville-market nominees

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Ohio Valley Chapter has released the nominees for this year's 49th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards.

Several stations from our part of the country are represented among this year's nominees, including three gentlemen from WEHT/WTVW – anchors Brad Byrd and Randy Moore and photographer Brian Cissell.

Byrd and Cissell were nominated for The Aaron Kizer Story; Moore and Cissell were nominated for The Gospel of John. Both stories aired on Eyewitness News last year and were quite well received.

This year's Emmy ceremony will be held July 20 at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati.

Don't understand Kevin Harned's weather nomination.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by that. It should be noted that there was ample opportunity for others to be nominated.
