GETTING "REAL" WITH MORE VARIETY ... WPSR changes from Mix to "Evansville's Real Variety"

EVSC-owned 90.7 has added some '90s music on weekends, among other changes

If you've been listening to WPSR (90.7 FM) lately, you may have noticed a few changes on the air, and those changes are intentional.

They're being made to identify EVSC's radio station, which broadcasts from the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center, as a greater part of the Evansville community.

One of the most noticeable changes, if you're familiar with the station's Facebook page, is the new logo and slogan, which designates WPSR as "Evansville's Real Variety."

In keeping with the new focus on serving Evansville, the station has a new Listener Line. Through this new line, listeners can call or text (812) 250-9071 and either make a request or give feedback on the station itself.

Hertel also tells JDTVB that there has been something of a shakeup in the station's weekend programming. Instead of all-'80s music on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, WPSR has added some music from the '90s as well. And at this point, the response on Facebook, at least, has been positive.
EDITOR'S NOTE: I'm interested to hear what you think of the new WPSR, and the station is, too, so please take a listen, check it out for yourself and let us know! If you get in touch with me, I'll be sure to share your thoughts with them.

I like Vintage Vinyl on Tuesday & Kickin' Country on Thursday. Would like more of this format. JB
