Edgewater Broadcasting selling Vincennes translator

Linton church, owner of Christian radio station WYTJ, buying W201BO for $31,500

Vincennes FM translator W201BO (88.1 FM) will once again have a new owner if the FCC approves its latest sale.

The 13-watt station, which has been around since 2008, has already been owned by three different Christian broadcasting organizations (Bible Broadcasting Network, Radio Assist Ministry and currently Edgewater Broadcasting), but perhaps the fourth will be the last, as the buyer this time around — Bethel Baptist Church, based in Linton, Ind. — is based closer to home.

Bethel, which is paying $31,500 for W201BO, owns and operates 1,000-watt WYTJ (89.3 FM), a station that broadcasts Christian programming into all or part of 13 counties surrounding Linton; the addition of W201BO should improve WYTJ's coverage of Knox County.

I'll let you know when the FCC acts.
