DTV America Corp. buying two Bowling Green CPs for $8,000

Part of larger deal that includes three Ga. permits and one in Fla.

DTV America Corporation of Sunrise, Fla. is purchasing six LPTV construction permits from Madison Avenue Ventures.

Two of the permits — for W14DG-D (ch. 14) and WCTZ-LD (ch. 35), neither of which has yet been built — are in Bowling Green, Ky. The others are located in Georgia and Florida (three in Athens, Ga. and one in Tallahassee, Fla.).

The overall deal will net Madison Avenue $24,000, with each permit going for $4,000.

It's not immediately clear what DTV America plans to do with the permits; recently, Madison Avenue had stated that it had obtained network commitments for both of its prospective Bowling Green stations; all that remained was to secure a transmitter site for each one.

Approval from the FCC is required for the deal to be completed.
