BRIEF: Transmitter problem knocked WITZ-FM off air

Jasper station will have to again go off-air temporarily when new parts arrive

Jasper, Ind. station WITZ-FM (104.7) was off the air from Monday evening until Tuesday morning following a problem with the station's transmitter, the station reports this morning.

The failure, which did not affect 104.7's sisters WITZ (990 AM) or WQKZ (98.5 FM), happened at about 5:30 p.m. ET Monday evening.

New parts have been ordered and will require the station to go off the air again for installation once they arrive.
